Jeff K. Miller, MHS, CMPE President/CEO of Medical Practice Operations, Inc.
Mr. Jeff Miller has performed in the health-care arena as a physician relations manager, a group practice administrator, executive director and regional administrator. He has a solid background in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Pediatrics, Neurology, Podiatry and Urology.
Mr. Miller graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Urban Affairs. He supplemented this degree with additional course work in Environmental and Urban Studies at the University of London. Mr. Miller’s postgraduate accomplishments include a Master's degree from the University of Central Florida in Health Science Administration. He graduated number one in his class, earning him the “Outstanding Graduate Award”. In addition, Mr. Miller is board-certified in Group Practice Management with the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE, MGMA).
In 1989, Mr. Miller moved to Florida to continue his health-care career. He joined Intracoastal Health Systems after being recruited from PhyMatrix. His solid background in physician practice management made him the ideal candidate as the Director of Physician Management Services for Intracoastal. Mr. Miller oversaw all practice management operations, recruitment and contract negotiations for its MSO operations. His role included the direct administration for University Clinical Associates, a twenty-one physician Internal Medicine Group with sub-specialty cares in Nephrology, Infectious Disease and Geriatric medicine. In addition, Mr. Miller oversaw the operations and management of UCA’s high-complexity laboratory and diagnostic imaging center.
Mr. Miller joined PhyMatrix Management Company, Inc. in May of 1995 as the Regional Administrator for the Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties market. He was then promoted to become the Regional Administrator for the newly-developed Florida West Coast markets where he was responsible for all operational and development functions. He also brought to PhyMatrix an extensive knowledge of practice operations, billing and collection protocols and managed care contracting.
Mr. Jeff Miller founded Medical Practice Operations, Inc. in January 2000, recognizing physicians' needs for professional assistance in developing and operating their practices.
